This Privacy Policy explains how Kees: Learn Dutch ("Kees", "the app", "we") handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

Kees is designed to work mostly on your device. We do not require account creation and do not sell your personal data.

• Microphone: used locally for speech exercises and pronunciation feedback. Audio is processed to give you feedback and is not stored on our servers.
• Camera and Photos: used for the Scan & Learn feature to recognize Dutch text in images. Images are processed to extract text and are not uploaded to our servers.
• Vocabulary and progress data: stored locally on your device (e.g. My Words, quiz progress) so the app can work offline.
• Advertising identifiers: Kees uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) to show and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by your device settings (App Tracking Transparency on iOS).

Kees uses the following third-party service:

Your Choices

You can disable microphone, camera, or photo access at any time in your device Settings. On iOS, you can limit ad tracking via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Children's Privacy

Kees is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
