This Privacy Policy explains how Rimory ("Rimory", "the app", "we") handles information when you use the app.
Information We Collect
Rimory is local-first. You do not need to create an account to use the core features (memory capture, Last Time trackers, checklists, water tracking, reminders, and Programs). Personal data is not sent to the third-party AI provider unless you first give explicit permission in the app and then choose to use an AI feature.
Memory and tracker data: everything you add (captured moments, categories, people, places, notes, amounts, checklist items, water logs, Programs progress) is stored locally on your device in a local database.
Photos and voice notes: if you attach a photo to a memory, or use voice capture, these are processed on your device using the camera, photo library, or the microphone and speech recognition. Voice audio is transcribed using your device's built-in speech recognition (Apple's on iOS, Google's on Android) and is not stored or sent to our servers as audio.
AI capture ("Rimory AI") and Ask Rimory: before any third-party AI transfer, Rimory presents an in-app disclosure naming Google LLC and describing the data involved. Nothing is sent unless you select “Allow & continue.” When permission is granted and you use an AI feature, Rimory may send Google LLC's Gemini API: (a) the text you type or the text transcript of speech you submit; (b) for Ask Rimory, your question and relevant local records that are not marked private or excluded from AI, including record titles, dates and times, people names, places, amounts/currency, and progress details; and (c) reminder text and typed receipt descriptions. This information is collected directly from what you enter and from eligible records stored in your local Rimory database. It is used to organize entries, understand reminder dates and titles, interpret typed receipt descriptions, and answer the question you asked. Rimory does not use this content for advertising.
Data not sent to Gemini: Rimory does not send photos, attached files, original audio recordings, records marked private, or records you excluded from AI. Voice input is converted to text by the device speech-recognition service before any permitted AI request; only the resulting text may be included.
Place search: if you search for a place when adding a memory, your search text is sent to the Google Places API to return matching places. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Notifications: reminders and Programs check-ins are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder content is sent to our servers.
App Lock (Face ID / device biometrics): if you enable App Lock, biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. Rimory never receives or stores your biometric data — it only receives a yes/no result from the OS.
Subscriptions (Rimory Pro): subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play billing systems. Rimory does not receive or store your payment details.
Home screen widget & watch companion: the optional home screen widget displays a snapshot of your own local data (today's water progress, next reminder, today's Program tasks) directly from your device. On Android, an optional Wear OS companion app mirrors your active Program and lets you log water or complete tasks from your watch; this data is exchanged only between your paired phone and watch and does not pass through our servers.
Optional Cloud Backup
Rimory offers optional, Pro-only cloud backup so you can restore your data on a new device:
Google Drive (Android & iOS): if you choose to enable it, you sign in with your Google account and Rimory stores a backup of your local database in your own Google Drive's private "App Data" folder — a hidden space only Rimory can access, not visible in your regular Drive files.
iCloud (iOS only): if you choose to enable it, Rimory stores a backup of your local database in your device's iCloud account, in a private container only Rimory can access.
If you do not enable either backup option, no data is transferred for cloud backup. Data may still leave the device only for a separate feature you deliberately use, such as an AI request you have permitted or a place search, as described in this policy.
Third-Party Services
Rimory uses the following third-party services:
Google LLC — Google Gemini API - receives only the AI data described above, and only after your explicit in-app permission and use of an AI feature, to process and return the requested AI result. Google acts as our third-party AI service provider. We require service providers that process personal data for Rimory to maintain the same or an equivalent level of privacy protection as described in this policy and required by applicable law. Google's handling of data is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the applicable Gemini API terms.
Google Sign-In & Google Drive - only if you enable Google Drive backup, to store your backup in your own Drive account. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Apple iCloud - only if you enable iCloud backup (iOS only), governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Rimory does not show ads and does not use any advertising or analytics SDKs that collect personal data.
Your Choices
AI permission: permission to share data with Google Gemini is off until you explicitly allow it. If you decline, no personal data is sent to Gemini and Rimory uses on-device processing where available. You can withdraw permission at any time in Rimory's Privacy Center by turning off “Share data with Google Gemini.” The change applies immediately to all later AI requests. Declining or withdrawing permission does not delete your local records and does not prevent you from using non-AI features.
You can disable microphone, camera, photo library, speech recognition, or notification access at any time in your device Settings. You can disconnect Google Drive or iCloud backup at any time from the app's Privacy Center, which stops any further syncing.
Data Deletion
Since your data is stored locally on your device by default, uninstalling the app removes it. The Privacy Center also includes an in-app option to delete all local data. If you have enabled Google Drive backup, you can remove Rimory's access from your Google Account permissions page; if you have enabled iCloud backup, you can delete the backup from your device's iCloud settings.
Age Requirements and Children's Privacy
Rimory is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. Individuals under 18 must not use Rimory, including its AI features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.

These terms govern the use of the Rimory mobile app provided by Future Games (“we”). By using Rimory, you agree to these terms and to the applicable terms of the store from which you obtained the app. Rimory is intended for adults aged 18 or over. You are responsible for the information you add and for keeping access to your device and optional backups secure.
Rimory helps you record memories, manage reminders and checklists, track habits and Programs, and optionally use AI-assisted features. Some features require internet access, device permissions, or Rimory Pro. Features and limits are shown in the app. AI suggestions and wellness Programs are informational tools, not medical, mental-health, financial, or other professional advice. Check important dates, reminders, and AI results yourself.
Rimory Pro subscriptions and trials
Important: A subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play renews automatically unless cancelled in the same store. If you are eligible for a three-day store free trial, the selected paid plan starts charging when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand.
Pro is offered as monthly, six-month, and yearly auto-renewing plans. Before you subscribe, the app and store confirmation show the selected plan, billing period, full local price, applicable taxes, and any trial. The store price and terms shown at purchase determine the actual charge.
Apple or Google determines eligibility for the three-day store trial. Not every customer will qualify. After an eligible trial, the selected plan starts and renews for its billing period unless cancelled.
Rimory may allow the first local calendar day of a Program without Pro. This in-app preview is separate from the store trial; it does not start a subscription or charge you.
Cancel before a trial ends to avoid its first charge, or before renewal to stop future charges. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Paid access normally continues until the current billing period ends, subject to store rules and applicable law.
Manage, cancel, and request refunds
Apple App Store: manage or cancel in your Apple Account's Subscriptions. Apple recommends cancelling a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends. For eligible refunds, use Apple's refund request page.
Apple or Google processes purchases made through its store; Rimory does not collect your payment-card details. Store terms and applicable consumer rights still apply. We may update these terms when the app or legal requirements change; the current version and effective date will appear here. For support, contact futuregames31@gmail.com.
