Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Memorix: Reminder & Tracker ("Memorix", "the app", "we") handles information when you use the app.

Information We Collect

Memorix is designed to work entirely on your device by default. You do not need to create an account to use the core features (warranties, subscriptions, maintenance, special days, documents, notes and checklists, and reminders).

• Items and reminder data: everything you add (titles, dates, costs, notes, categories) is stored locally on your device.
• Photos and documents: if you attach a photo or PDF to an item (e.g. a receipt or warranty), it is stored locally on your device using the camera, photo library, or file picker. We do not upload these files to our servers.
• Notifications: reminders are scheduled locally on your device to alert you about upcoming dates. No reminder content is sent to our servers.
• Redeem codes: if you redeem a promotional code to unlock premium features, the app uses an anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (via Firebase Anonymous Authentication) to validate the code through a Cloud Function. No personal information is collected as part of this process.
• In-app purchases: lifetime upgrades (such as removing ads or enabling cloud sync) are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play billing systems. Memorix does not receive or store your payment details.
• Advertising identifiers: Memorix uses Google AdMob to show banner ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) to show and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by your device settings (App Tracking Transparency on iOS).

Optional Cloud Backup & Sync

Memorix offers an optional, paid Cloud Backup & Sync feature. If you choose to enable it, you sign in with your Google account and Memorix stores an encrypted backup of your app data in your own Google Drive's private "App Data" folder — a hidden space only Memorix can access, not visible in your regular Drive files. This is used solely to back up and restore your data across devices. If you do not enable this feature, none of your item data ever leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

Memorix uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob - for displaying ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Functions) - for validating redeem codes anonymously. See Firebase's Privacy Policy.
• Google Sign-In & Google Drive - only if you enable Cloud Backup & Sync, to store your encrypted backup in your own Drive account. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

You can disable camera or photo library access at any time in your device Settings. On iOS, you can limit ad tracking via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. You can disconnect Cloud Backup & Sync at any time from within the app, which stops any further syncing to Google Drive.

Data Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device by default, uninstalling the app removes it. If you have enabled Cloud Backup & Sync, you can delete your backup from within the app's settings, or remove Memorix's access entirely from your Google Account permissions page.

Children's Privacy

Memorix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
